  This was by far one of the best experiences I have had with a company in Scandinavia. Not only was the winter kayaking in Tromsø a blast, but the quality... read more of the service was outstanding. I was the only person who had booked for winter kayaking that day so I was taken on a solo trip, rather than my outing being cancelled. This is far from the norm and meant a great deal to me, as it was my last day in the arctic. Communication prior to the trip was flawless, and I was picked up promptly from my lodging. High quality kayaks, dry suits, boots, head lamps, mitts, etc... were all provided for me in my size, along with basic instructions for wiggling into the dry suit easily. Even with temps below zero I was incredibly warm (don’t let the snow scare you off of kayaking). Eivind was super friendly and very knowledgeable about the local area. He let me set the pace and direction for our paddle, but still guided me pst some cool sites (i.e. the wreckage of the Tirpitz). I would strongly recommend this winter kayak trip to anyone in Northern Norway, or if you’re not up for a cold water paddle at least book one of the other trips with Eivind/ Arctic Wild. It will be some of the best money you spend. I was so pleased that I’m already dreaming of a multi day trip for next year with his outfit.

Eivind is super knowledgable about the the area and conditions out here and for our day trip he chose the perfect location. We had super calm, perfect winter kayaking conditions. The gear he provided was superb, high-quality and worked great. So did the kayaks themselves. Eivind equipped us from head to toe and we felt comfy, warm and dry throughout the whole tour. Eivind is such a warm and hospitable person. It was fun and very easy to talk to him about anything really. And through everything you could feel his passion for what he is doing. That was beautiful. We felt very comfortable and well looked after during the entire activity. The equipment was top-notch so we didn't get cold or wet. It was one of those experiences where you would wish for time to slow down so you can linger in the moment a little longer.
